Overview
The MCM SC160 is MCM’s largest spider crane: 16 t capacity, 25 m maximum ground lift and a 23 m operating radius from an 85 kW Yuchai diesel, on tracks and outriggers that set up where truck cranes cannot.
The heaviest lifter in the spider range
The MCM SC160 is built for picks that outgrow the SC120. It lifts 16 t, its 5-section telescopic boom runs from 6.5 m to 25 m, and it reaches a 23 m maximum operating radius. It is powered by an 85 kW Yuchai diesel, the most powerful engine in the range.
Still a spider crane
For all that reach, the SC160 travels at 7.2 m long, 2.0 m wide and 2.48 m high on hydraulic-drive steel tracks with 400 mm shoes, at up to 2.5 km/h and up 25° (36%) slopes. Its outriggers screw out manually and then telescope and support hydraulically, to a maximum spread of 8.6 m long and 7.3 m (front) by 6.2 m (rear). A compact set-up of about 7.4 × 5.2 m is possible where space is tight.
