Overview

The MCM SC100 is a 10-ton tracked spider crane with a 21 m five-section telescopic boom and 18 m operating radius, compact enough at 1.8 m wide to drive through doorways and onto sites a mobile crane cannot reach.

A 10-ton crane that fits through the gap

The MCM SC100 Spider Crane lifts up to 10 t and reaches a 21 m maximum ground lift, yet folds down to 5.9 × 1.8 × 2.3 m. It drives itself on steel tracks at up to 2.5 km/h and climbs 25° (36%) gradients, so it can be walked through a factory door, into a courtyard or across a building site to the exact lifting point, then set up on its four spider outriggers.

Boom and hoist

  • 5-section telescopic boom, 5.5 m to 21 m, extended in about 58 seconds
  • Boom angle 0–78°, raised in about 15 seconds
  • 360° continuous slewing (about 40 seconds per turn)
  • 10 t hoist, Φ12 mm × 100 m wire rope, two-speed hook up to 21 m/min (4 ropes)
  • 18 m maximum operating radius; capacity reduces as radius increases, so always work from the load chart

Power and set-up

A 76 kW Yunnei diesel with electric start (rated −50 °C to 45 °C) drives the hydraulics; the 40 L tank and 24 V 45 Ah battery suit a full shift. The outriggers extend manually, then telescope and support hydraulically, with a compact footprint of about 5.1 × 5.0 m for confined spaces and a wider extended footprint of about 7.0 × 6.6 m.

Where the SC100 is used

Installing glass panels, steel beams and HVAC units inside and between buildings; placing precast elements on tight urban sites; plant and machinery moves in factories; and lifting into basements and atriums where a truck crane cannot set up.

Options

Torque (load moment) controller, remote control, man cradle and hydraulic flying jib are available, as are colour choices. Operation is manual as standard. For heavier picks, compare the SC120 (12 t) and SC160 (16 t), or the smaller SC80.
