Our Story
MCM Group was founded in 2008 by Johan van Niekerk— who still leads the business as CEO today — with a simple goal: give South African contractors and farmers direct access to robust, affordable heavy equipment without the layers of intermediaries that drive up cost on the traditional dealer route.
From a single operation, we grew into a four-branch national distributor, opened our own MCM-branded manufacturing line in China to control build quality and pricing on our house products, and became the South African distributor for several leading international OEMs.
We have been a regular fixture at NAMPO Harvest Day for many years, and our machines now operate across construction sites, commercial farms, and plant-hire fleets throughout Southern Africa.
